This site is run by Jon & Amie Andrews, Ffridd Mill House, Machynlleth SY20 8QG. It exists to show you the two cottages and help you check dates.
Very little. There are no accounts and no analytics or advertising cookies. The dates and guest numbers you enter in the availability check are used only to build a link to our Airbnb listing and are not stored by us.
If you add yourself to our mailing list we store the name, email address and postcode you give us (and your mobile number, if you choose to add it), the date you confirmed your sign-up, and the page you signed up from. We only add you once you have clicked the link in our confirmation email; unconfirmed requests are deleted after seven days.
From your postcode we work out your local council area and roughly how long the drive to us takes, so we can tell you about offers that make sense for where you live — a last-minute midweek gap for people nearby, say, or a longer-stay offer for people further away. After you sign up you can also, if you wish, tell us a little about how you like to travel (which cottage appeals, group size, whether you bring a dog, favourite times of year and so on). Every one of those questions is optional and you can change or clear your answers at any time from the link in our emails.
We use all of this only to decide which of our occasional emails to send you — no more than about one a month. We will not send you marketing text messages; we only use your mobile number to contact you about a stay or an enquiry. We never sell or share your details. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, or you can email us and we will take you off straight away. When you unsubscribe we delete your details from our mailing list and from our contacts straight away.
Your details are held in our Google Workspace account (Google Contacts), under Google’s UK/EU data-processing terms. Our website’s sign-up service runs on Cloudflare; it passes your details straight to Google and keeps only a scrambled reference and the date you gave consent, not your name, email address or other details. Postcode look-ups use postcodes.io (open UK government data) and Google Maps; only the postcode is sent. Nobody else has access to the list.
Bookings and payments are handled by Airbnb. When you follow a link from this site to Airbnb, Airbnb's own privacy policy applies to anything you do there.
The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site. The availability calendars are built from our own booking calendar; no guest details are included in that feed. The map on the Find us section is an embedded Google map; Google may set cookies when it loads and its own privacy policy applies.
